🟥 Her name was Baraa Abu Sila. She was only 10 years old.
But she was not allowed to live.
In the besieged land of Gaza, under a brutal blockade enforced by Israel with full backing from the United States, Baraa slowly faded away—not by accident, but by deliberate policy.
A Death Measured in Ounces, Not Years
Baraa’s fragile body weighed less than 25 pounds.
Her bones—ribs, spine—were visible through her thin, dry skin.
She wore a plastic bag as a diaper—not because her family didn’t love her, but because they had nothing else.
As she slipped into unconsciousness, her father held her close, carrying what was no longer a living child, but a body denied food, water, medicine, dignity.
This was not malnutrition.
This was murder by starvation.
This Is Not an Isolated Tragedy
Baraa is one of countless Palestinian children enduring chronic hunger, dehydration, untreated infections, and psychological trauma. In Gaza, food is a weapon. Water is withheld. Medical aid is denied. Even baby formula is restricted.
This is not collateral damage.
This is systemic oppression—a war against the innocent.
And the world remains silent.
Genocide Has Many Faces. Starvation Is One of Them.
When a child like Baraa is denied the basic right to survive—through man-made famine and political strangulation—this is not a humanitarian crisis.
This is genocide.
